I teach Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a method for heartfelt communication and building strong relationships.
It helps you live authentically and connect deeply with others. Through guided processes, people can overcome harmful habits and improve their relationships, finding more meaning and purpose.
My approach as a certified NVC trainer is trauma-informed, focusing on personal growth and grounded in principles of nonviolence and compassion. I'm also interested in Integral Theory, a framework by Ken Wilber that aims to integrate various theories into one cohesive model.
It explores consciousness development from basic to ultimate levels.
Being part of the Independent Indigenous Festival brings me great joy. It's an opportunity to connect, learn, and communicate with people worldwide, fostering understanding, healing, empowerment, and hope.

I am a trainer in the communication method of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). It is a way to connect to heart-based communication and learning relationship skills for living from your most authentic, empowered and connected self.
In processes and interconnected explorations, people can be supported to transform self-sabotaging habits and disconnected relationships into deeper connection, meaning and purpose.
Currently, my work is trauma-informed, grounded in developmental growth and learning processes, and infused with the principles and practices of nonviolence and compassion.
I am also passionately interested in Integral Theory which is a synthetic metatheory developed by Ken Wilber. It attempts to place a wide diversity of theories and models into one single framework. The basis is a "spectrum of consciousness," from archaic consciousness to ultimate spirit, presented as a developmental model.
This model is based on development stages as described in structural developmental stage theories; various psychic and supernatural experiences; and models of spiritual development.
To be a part of the Independent Indigenous Festival brings such a joy to my heart. To meet, learn and communicate with people around the world with an intent to support connection, understanding, healing, empowerment, and hope.

My name is Ziyad Abou Haroun, and I am a Bedouin man with strong roots in the Sinai Desert. I am passionate about preserving and sharing the cultural heritage of my people, and I believe that the Independent Indigenous Festival provides a remarkable platform.
I am particularly excited to propose the inclusion of a Bedouin Tea Ceremony as part of the festival's offerings.
This ancient and sacred tradition has been passed down through generations in my community and serves as a symbol of unity, hospitality, and cultural exchange. Through the Bedouin Tea Ceremony, I aim to create a unique space where other indigenous groups can gather together with participants to connect, learn and appreciate the richness of our shared heritage.
Ever since my childhood, I've felt a strong connection to and a sense of belonging in nature.
As I've grown, I've come to appreciate its abundance and have delved into studying the uses of plants native to the Nordic fauna and their traditional preparations.
Crafting herbal blends of various forms and types has become a passion of mine, alongside my inclination towards sharing the ancient wisdom of these intelligent plants, often through guided herb hikes in picturesque settings.

I am known as a Noida among the locals in the northern parts of Sápmi, Sweden, where I was born and raised. Nåjda, meaning shaman in the Sami language, denotes a spiritual space holder for souls called by the great spirits.
With a background in behavioral science, I have spent my entire professional life working with people in various contexts. Since 2000, I have also been engaged in spiritual work.
I am honored to be part of the Independent Indigenous Film and Festival. It holds significant meaning for me, as it represents recognition of my spiritual endeavors.
In tribute to the festival, I believe in the power of gathering spiritual individuals to ignite inner strength. Therefore, I find it crucial to establish daily intentions during the festival together as a tribe. These intentions serve as our guiding light, our source of power, and our collective strength. Each morning, we will gather to set intentions in our hearts and journey. Welcome!

Using the voice as a tool for self empowerment & reconnecting with the spirit of Music
A guided journey to transform stagnant energy in your system through breath & sounds.
We will learn how to sound FROM the body - so that what we express is aligned with what is true for us in this moment. When we speak or sing from this place we will feel empowered by our own voice, by our own words. This journey has the potential to awaken the expression of your inner truth.
In the workshop we will also invite the participants to use touch. Gentle lay on hands on each other, to recognize the physical vibrations of the voice, will empower the experience
(You can opt out from touch at any time).
It will be a guided journey into yourself through Music.

Rikard started training martial arts as a teenager and has focused the last 20 years on the traditional Chinese martial art of Baji.
Rikard also has a strong interest in other Chinese martial arts like Pigua, Taiji, Xingyi and Bagua. In the last few years Rikard has been focusing more and more on exploring the underlying shamanic principles and ideas "hidden" in these styles.
Bājíquán (八極拳) often referred to simply as Baji, is commonly known as “the martial art of bodyguards”.
It emphasizes the use of attacks that close down the distance as well as explosive close combat techniques such as combinations of elbow, knee and take-down techniques
